The Life Events page (/life-events) lets you record changes that affect your tax status — Penzum then automatically applies the correct calculation logic across the Dashboard, the Calculator, and the Obligations calendar.
Recordable event types
The page only allows events from a closed list:
- Business type change (part-time ↔ full-time ↔ retired)
- Tax form change (flat-rate ↔ KATA ↔ VSZJA)
- Child born / Dependent ended
- Recording a marriage
- Disability start / end
- GYED (childcare fee) start / end
- GYES (childcare allowance) start / end
- Sick leave start / end
- Business suspension start / end
The page only shows buttons relevant to your current status — e.g. “Record marriage” only appears if you’re not already recorded as married.
Business type change
Effective date, new business type (excluding your current one), and an optional note. An amber warning reminds you that you also need to notify NAV separately — Penzum does not do this on your behalf.
Effective date and the new tax form. Important rule: if switching to or from KATA or VSZJA, the effective date can only be 1 January — if you pick another date, the system automatically corrects it and warns you.
Child born / Dependent ended
Date, an optional checkbox if the child has a disability, and a note. This entry updates your dependent count, which is the basis for the family tax benefit calculation.
Marriage, disability, GYED, GYES, sick leave, business suspension
These all have the same shape: date and an optional note. Marriage can only be recorded once.
Log
At the bottom of the page, every past event is listed chronologically, with its state transition (e.g. “Part-time → Full-time”), date, and — where relevant — a note about whether an official filing is also required (e.g. with NAV).
Life Events does not replace the Employment page — if you have a job (or its end) at another company, it cannot be recorded here, only on the Employment page.
